Gantt Critical Path Analysis in JavaScript
Critical path analysis turns a Gantt from a visual timeline into a delivery-risk tool. It identifies the dependency chain that determines the current project finish date and shows where schedule movement has no remaining float.
What critical path calculation depends on
The result is only as trustworthy as the scheduling model. A component needs correct task durations, dependency types and lag, working calendars, constraints, milestones, and project boundaries. Changes to any of these can alter the critical path.

Critical does not mean important

Test summary tasks, milestones, lead/lag, non-working time, manually constrained tasks, deadlines, disconnected networks, and resource-leveling changes. Compare the calculated finish and float against a trusted planning example before relying on it for production decisions.
